Voicu Mihnea Simandan

Voicu Mihnea Şimăndan is a Romanian writer, freelance jouranlist, and educator who is currently living and working in Bangkok, Thailand. Ever since he was a little boy he loved to read and, later on, to write. He has published non-fiction and fiction in numerous newspapers, magazines, and websites from around the world.
Mihnea has been a teacher since 2000, having taught English in Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. His passions include reading, writing, traveling, martial arts, and archery.
He also writes at www.mvs.ro (in Romanian) and at www.simandan.com (in English). In 1999, he published The Spirit of Medieval Japan (Spiritul Japoniei medievale), a study about the social classes of Medieval Japan (bilingual edition Romanian - English). In 2009, he published The Ironman. A Play, a play for children, and Quotes Web 555, a collection of 555 inspirational quotations. In 2010, he published The Matrix and the Alice Books, a book that presents aspects of intertextuality in a film and a book.
At present, he is working on The Buddha Head, a thriller set in contemporary Thailand.
