SDC 6 has attracted a record number of participants: Andrew, Simona, Vlad, Cristina Tiberian, Crina, Loredana, Cristina, the New Zealander James and his Hungarian girlfriend, Mihaela, Claudiu, Adina Tarry, Ana Maria, Anca Rozor, Iulian, Inno, Vera, Razvan si Razvwan, Rodica, John, Raluca, Nicu, Alina, Laurentiu, Adrian si Didi.

There’s a book ready to go to Claudiu: a critical response to John Gray’s Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus. Forget about myths and negative stereotypes, deflate the generalization and please give the shared-planet idea a chance, or else!
...or else there’s a fun quiz coming: girls team against the boys team in a special Book Exchange London research project to challenge the Mars-Venus concept :)) Just to prove that men and women do speak the same language… or NOT!

Cristina Tiberian, foreign correspondent for Radio Romania, joined our club on Saturday. She brought along two interesting books (can’t wait to put my hands on them) and asked maaaaaany questions :))

It was a pleasure to have Adina Mironovici Tarry as our guest. Big THANK YOU to Adina to have lent us a few copies of her book, An Accompanying spouse! We will be back with a post especially about this book once we all had a chance to read it.

“Scary” book in Razvwan’s hands, Essential Sacred Writings from Around the World! A collection of excerpts from the Quran, the amazing Egyptian Book of the Dead, the Rig Veda, the Sanskrit “Song of God” - Bhagavad Gita, the Homeric Hymns and the Popul Vuh of highland Guatemala. It was Nicu who had the courage to take it home; will see in March whether he survives or not!

We had a good but very loooooooooong day, many of us didn’t go home before midnight. Is it just me, or did we all have great fun?
