A team of 10 on our side will meet with Pan-London Book Circle (a fairly small group (6-8) who meet about every 6 weeks to read contemporary novels mainly, but sometimes poetry and, on occasion, biography). This time we’ll follow their rules (well, I mean, it would be nice to have some rules for a change):
- we meet at 7 pm to discuss a specific book: Eliade’s Youth without youth is our choice for 28th June;
- someone volunteers to present the book (this only means introducing it and saying a few things to get the discussion going)
- we discuss the book for up to an hour; then stop for something to eat (we each bring food and drink to share)
- the evening ends between 9.30 – 10.00pm, having chosen the next date and venue.
This is an excellent opportunity to discuss a book by a well-known Romanian author with a group with whom we share similarities, but whose members haven’t been in contact with Romanian literature before.
Whether you already are a member, or you are new to our group, if you read, enjoy literature and you’re ready to discuss Youth without youth… you’re in the right place! Please let us know if you’re interested in joining this meeting!
As I have already mentioned, it’ll be a smaller group this time, maximum 10 of us, so we’ll have to confirm guests on a first-come first-served basis.
