We’d like to thank Pan-London Book Circle, especially the host of our last meeting, Carole. She invited a bunch of foreigners, people she’s never met before (ha ha, yes, it’s us) over to her house, and I have to say I wasn’t so pleasantly surprised by someone in ages. Thanks very much, it was great to meet all of you!
It was a very successful meeting, there were many different opinions on Youth without youth and this made the evening even more interesting. Donald has thoroughly researched the novel and its author; he presented the book and started the discussion. It was really good to share our thoughts and opinions on Eliade’s novel and meet new friendly people. Proven once again, book talk over good food and wine is the winning formula!
Our contribution to the discussion was extremely valuable, as the host group learned they have a name, that of “Pan-London” :)) Even though they weren't all aware, they do have a name inspired by the fact that they live in different parts of London.
It’s a shame some of us couldn’t make it on the 28th, but we’ll certainly do it again soon. Vlad beautifully captured the atmosphere and the feel of the evening in a short video, hope you enjoy it:
